So it’s that time of year where the kids are heading back to school. I don’t know about you but I always have mixed feelings about this time of year. I mean on the one hand I’m happy the kids are getting back to their routines of going to bed and getting up at a set time. But on the other hand I’m going to miss the “laid-backness” of summer.
It was so nice not having to check homework or help with book reports and science projects.
Now that things are back in full swing we expect our kids will be bringing home assignments and papers. The things we won’t look forward to them bringing home are germs and viruses. But we know it’s going to happen. Germs are lurking in the classrooms, playgrounds, and lunch rooms. You know have stuff goes around.
But there are things you can do to arm yourself and your family against these germs to keep everyone healthy.
Let’s start with the obvious which is keeping the hands clean.
Remind your kids to wash their hands or sanitize before eating.
When you pack the kid’s lunchboxes put a bottle of hand sanitizer in there. Get them in the habit of using it frequently. Thieves natural hand purifier is great for killing germs without the synthetic ingredients and chemicals of traditional sanitizers. Clean hands are the body’s first defense against sickness.
Make sure everyone is getting adequate sleep.
Studies have shown that sleep deprivation can weaken the body’s immune system making us more prone to sickness. Lavender essential oilhas wonderful calming properties to relax the body to promote restful sleep. It works great when you rub a little on the bottoms of the feet and even place a drop on the pillow so the aroma can be inhaled.
Boost the immune system
In our house everyone is constantly on the go. The kids have sports and extra-curricular activities after school and of course I am the driver for most of these activities. We don’t have time to be sick or dragging our feet from lack of energy.. So we drink Young Living’s Ningxia Red every morning. It is great for the whole family. It tastes great and you only need an ounce to get all of the benefits. It is all natural and is filled with lots of vitamins and minerals to boost the immune system. It gives us the energy we need for long days.
I would love to hear your comments below so that I can better serve you.
